DO NOT GO TO Ernie Haire Ford

I recently tried to purchase a 2008 Ford Focus from Ernie Haire Ford on June 28, 2008.I put 500 dollars down and agreed on a deal.

They let me drive home with the Focus for two weeks when I got a call to come back down to the dealership. When I got there they told me my financing did not get approved. When I asked for the vehicle I traded in for the Focus back and my down payment back they said my vehicle was not there and the accountants office was closed and come back the next day. When I returned the next day for my vehicle and down payment, they only had my vehicle ready even after I had called earlier in the day to make sure my check was ready.

The manager then told me they would have someone deliver my check to me at work first thing the following morning. When 11am and 3 pm rolled around the next day there still was no check. I was forced to have my father call and demand for my money. They called me back 5 minutes after my dad got off the phone and said my check was at the receptionist office and to pick it up before 9pm.

This dealerships customer service was horrible, plus they had total disrespect towards women!!

Able to come up with a whole $500 on a $14-15000 car with over $1000 of fees and taxes!!!!Ford doesn't extend the credit, and if they hadn't tried, you'ld have been upset with them for that.

I'm a Honda dealer and would have asked you how you expected to make a &300 payment + insurance if you couldn't save $1000.They could have followed up and communicated better though.

They (Ernie Haire) are scammers from the depths of ***, and I have already told at least 10 people to stay away from them and their conniving tricks. They use the old spot delivery game, then try to tell you your credit was worse than they thought, and you can only keep the new car if you sign anew, with higher interest.

If you must go there, get your money/financing elsewhere, that way you can tell them to go *** up a rope with their fraudulent scams. If you have shaky credit, fix it before you go "beg" to any (especially Ford) auto dealership.

My husband and I went to Ernie Haire Ford on Sat., I went on line got preapproved (gave my ss#) so they could run it and have that part done.We proceeded to there, when we arrived everyone was eager to help, but as soon as we were turned down the first time, everything came to a stand still.

We were walked out to the lot to take a truck or two for a test drive, but that was a run around. We walked in and he wanted to give us the car he wanted us to drive, not the color we wanted to drive home, so he stated he had to wait for banks to open on Monday to send our credit apps. through. we should of known, cause we had to call them, I thought customer service was they call you with every step,.

not you call them. them he told us our payments were going to be 400-500 a month, we are trading in our car which is 321 a month to get a lower payment, not higher.

I hate when it has to be there way or no way.i hate all the game playing.

Ernie Haire Ford - Lied to and Baited!!

My wife and I went to Ernie Haire Ford on Saturday after searching for cars all day. After speaking with the salesman, discussing monthly payments (they do it backwards now so they don't have to take any money off the purchase price!), he found a car for us.

We proceeded to do the loan application. After about an hour they came back and said we were all set and brought us into to see the finance manager. He had the papers all ready to sign. We said, we didn't think we were taking the vehicle as it had just been brought in and not yet cleaned or inspected.

I had forgotten my driver's license, and we needed a copy of our tax return. We were told to come back and pick up the car on Monday night. We telephoned the salesman, and the Finance Manager -Gerry. Everything was all set, just bring in the tax returns, driver's license and insurance papers.

We did. We got there and now all of sudden, after driving 68 miles, they couldn't accept handwritten tax returns. Well, I am sorry, an old friend - did them for us, and she didn't pay to send them through Turbo Tax!! Big deal guess that is a crime - nothing was said to us about that!!

I had copies of my bank statements from my two business accounts, after all that is where I put the money I make from running those businesses. We were told they wouldn't take those either as they have both my name and my businesses!! Silly me I thought the money you made from your own private business and you put it into an account with your own name and the business you own was ok - but not in their books!! So now after being told at 5:30p.m.

that we were all set, bring those documents down and we could pick up the car tonight. Now we are told, "Oops, we lied you need to type the tax returns and only have personal bank statements!" My advice to you DO NOT GO THERE!! Ernie Haire Ford, N.

I am writing this follow up cause I just heard about the untimely death of Ernie while he was out of the state on a vacation trip in Colorado. They always gave me a good deal when I went to Ernie Haire, and threw the years I bought three cars there. So nobody say nothing bad about Ernie Haire any more, he dead now, and respect the dead.

Nobody would suspect that a "Business" would not have professionally prepared tax returns. I also suspect that questionable bill payments in the past prompted the verification of income by the finance company extending credit.

What a ***..The Bank would be the ones needing copies of returns and income you twit Ernie Haire Ford isnt loaning the money the Bank does they would be the ones asking Ernie Haire for this info.

I guess you think the Salesman had nothing better to do than waste his time and yours asking for your tax returns.I guess he was just so curious he wanted all of your inforamtion so he could copy it and keep it his whole life..

Sounds to me like they were trying to protect themselves from potentially false information from the consumer. You do realize if your tax information is incorrect and they submit it they are the ones in big trouble..

My God you own a business and you have hand written Tax Returns?prepared by a friend no less, and not an licensed CPA?I would question your income, credit and ability to repay a loan also..

Ummm ... so, you're pissed off because you didn't qualify for financing? Well, if they don't sell to problem buyers, that keeps prices lower for the rest of us, so that's ok with me.
